The Covid-19 pandemic has taken over the world by storm.

In just a matter of months, Malaysia has experienced the drastic effects of the pandemic.

Most of us are forced to adapt to a new lifestyle under the Movement Control Order (MCO). Staying within the confines of our homes in fear of an unseen enemy has become the new normal. But for some, staying at home is not an option.

Frontliners have to work around the clock to help contain and curb the spread of the virus.

Police and army forces ensure the MCO is adhered to, social workers do their best to provide for the needy, and cleaners keep our surfaces clean from the virus.

At the forefront, we have our medical heroes, the doctors and nurses who battle the virus head on.

Dire Situations in Hospitals

The working conditions in hospitals are nightmarish to say the least. Long working hours with barely any rest, extremely hot and uncomfortable equipment and tremendous pressure to cure patients are only part of their worries.

Due to rising costs and a worsening economy, many hospitals are facing shortages of medical equipment to combat Covid-19 effectively. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are among the most demanded necessities among hospitals.

Due to the fact that PPE equipment can only be used once and discarded to prevent further infection among medical staff and patients, stocks deplete rapidly. Face masks (N95 and surgical masks), face shields, PPE suits are constantly requested, yet the demands can barely be met due to cost restrictions.

Some nurses and doctors have even resorted to stitching their own personal protective equipment (PPE) suits!

Using just plastic bags and cling wrap for suits, resorting to use only face shields when face masks are unavailable and vice versa, our medical staff are dangerously close to being exposed to the virus.

Helping Hospitals

Nature Renascent is dedicated to helping our frontliners do their jobs efficiently by donating PPE equipment to hospitals.

As of now, we are able to provide face shields to some hospitals through donations and our own funds.

On 2nd April 2020, we were able to supply 200 face shields to 4 hospitals.

We are glad that we are able to contribute to the efforts of combating Covid-19 in any way we can. But we know that the efforts can’t stop here. The need for medical equipment in hospitals increases every day.

We want to continue aiding medical staff by providing the necessary equipment when they need them.

To do so, we need your help too.

The production of these products also help generate income for many who are financially affected by the situation such as local farmers, single mothers and housewives.

Let’s All Play Our Part

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

By only utilizing individual efforts and resources, we will never be able to weather through the challenges of Covid-19. But if we all combine forces, no obstacle is too tough or too big for us to overcome. Even a few cents make a difference. Although these efforts may seem small, it is these efforts that determines whether we are able to combat Covid-19 or not.

Frontliners are already playing their parts as best as they can. All we need to do is help them do their jobs by preventing further spread of the infection by staying at home, and providing financial aid if we can. It is of the utmost importance to help them as they are protecting us.

If our frontliners go down, so do we. So let us all do our part and help in the efforts of overcoming this virus.

Stay safe everyone, and may we overcome this pandemic together.
